Organica's BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN RELEASE SYSTEM is a patent pending "bio-inorganic peroxide" specifically formulated to provide a continuous source of slow release oxygen to enhance microbial processes. This product was developed to enhance bio-remedial projects in both soil and water.
The system provides a continuous supply of oxygen to many oxygen dependant processes such as the bio-remediation of contaminated soils, wastewater treatment facilities and microbial lake - management. It is extremely useful in situations where mechanical aeration is not readily available or feasible.
In lake - management it is ideal to jumpstart microbial populations used to control algae and improve water clarity. The system will dramatically increase dissolved oxygen levels and facilitate microbial reproduction and efficiency. The BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN RELEASE SYSTEM can be used in conjunction with surface and sub - surface mechanical aeration devices in lake - management.
This approach is highly recommended when eutrophic conditions exist. In wastewater treatment plants and sewer lines the system impedes the release of hydrogen sulfide and other volatile odors by enhancing aerobic reactions and stabilizing the pH. Furthermore it suppresses the formation of new hydrogen sulfide by increasing the levels of dissolved oxygen thus curbing the anaerobic process responsible for its production.
Organica's BIOCHEMICAL OXYGEN RELEASE SYSTEM is a practical, cost effective solution to promote the establishment and enhance the viability of microbial based products when inherent oxygen levels are insufficient.
SUGGESTED APPLICATION RATES
Pond and Lake Management:
Apply 5 - 10 lbs. per acre - foot of water (325,000 gallons). Evenly distribute product over entire surface of pond or lake. Apply monthly or until Organica Pond Clarifier has improved water clarity. This product will drive the pH of the water alkaline. Test pH of water prior to application process. If the water pH is over 8.5 at the onset of product application, use 1 lb. per acre - foot rate and monitor pH before reapplying. You do not want your water to have a pH any higher than 9 or Organica's Microbial Based Pond Clarifier will begin to loose some of its effectiveness.
Waste Water Treatment / Sewer Lines:
Use 5 lbs. of product per 1000 feet of pipe / 10,000 gallons of daily flow during the 1St & 4Th day of cleanup phase. Thereafter apply weekly at the rate of 1lb. per 1000 feet of pipe / 10,000 gallons of daily flow. Place product into waste-stream one or two manholes upstream from area to be treated.
Lagoon Treatments
Application rates will be determined by BOD, COD, TSS, pH, temperature and type of organic material present. Consult with Organica on individual application rates.
