2 STEP NATURAL ORNAMENTAL PROGRAM
Organica's 2 Step Program is specifically formulated to promote the establishment and enhance the viability of all your ornamental plantings. The programs success lies in its ability to establish beneficial microbial populations in the root zone. This is accomplished in Step One by utilizing either Plant Growth Activator or Plant Growth Activator Plus as a root drench during the planting phase. These unique products contain select beneficial soil microorganisms and natural plant extracts that function synergistically to improve soil biology and promote healthy plant growth. The beneficial microbial populations contained in Plant Growth Activator and Plant Growth Activator Plus develop a symbiotic relationship with the root system of a plant, the root provide a food source for the microbes (carbon exudates) and in turn the microbes protect and nourish the roots. It is this interplay that promotes plant establishment and allows them to grow to their full genetic potential.
Organica has developed these two distinct microbial systems in order to tailor the soil environment specific to the plant type. Plant Growth Activator contains naturally occurring, beneficial soil bacteria and actinomyces it is formulated specifically for annuals, bulbs, perennials and vegetables. Plant Growth Activator Plus contains naturally occurring, beneficial soil bacteria, actinomyces and fungi it is specifically formulated for evergreens, conifers and deciduous trees.
The Second Step in the program is an application of Organica's Plant Booster an organic / natural product consisting of fish hydrolysate, kelp and humic acid. The kelp portion of Plant Booster is manufactured utilizing a patented "cell burst process". Freshly harvested kelp (Ecklonia maxima) is exposed to a series of pressure differentials to release all the beneficial compounds in their natural form. This patented process is utilized to insure maximum retention of the delicate plant growth compounds found in kelp. These natural compounds are unparalleled in their ability to provide plants with increased resistance to environmental extremes and stimulate healthy plant development.
In addition the fish hydrolysate provides plants with an organic / natural source of primary nutrients (N, P, K), which promotes healthy, sustained plant growth. The nutrients are chelated within organic compounds making them readily available to the plant. The humic acid portion of the formulation improves soil structure, enhances nutrient absorption and stimulates the growth and proliferation of beneficial soil microorganisms.
Summarily Organica's 2 Step Ornamental Program will promote rapid plant establishment and drastically reduce the incidence of planting and transplant shock. The program also stimulates healthy, sustained growth and provides plants with increased resistance to environmental extremes such as drought and temperature extremes.
PROGRAM OUTLINE
STEP ONE / PLANTING PHASE: At time of planting /
transplanting thoroughly dissolve 1 tbs. of either PGA
or PGA PLUS (depending upon plant type) in 1 gallon of
water and soak root ball prior to backfilling hole. One
gallon of finished product is enough to treat (2) flats,
(40) bulbs, (3) 5 gallon containers or (1) 1 ½ inch
caliper tree.
STEP TWO / MAINTENANCE PHASE: Two weeks after planting dissolve
2 tbs. of Plant Booster in 1 gallon of water and apply
to soil and plant foliage. One gallon of finished
product is enough to treat 250 square feet. Thereafter
apply PGA /PGA PLUS and Plant Booster monthly throughout
the growing season. When applying PGA /PGA PLUS in
maintenance phase dissolve 1 tbs. of product in 1 gallon
of water and apply to soil around base of plant. One
gallon of finished product is enough to treat 333 square
feet.
HOSE END APPLICATOR PGA / PGA PLUS: For larger areas
thoroughly dissolve 3 tbs. of PGA / PGA PLUS in hose end
sprayer and apply to 1000 square feet. It is advisable
to thoroughly pre-mix PGA / PGA PLUS in warm water prior
to placing it in the hose end applicator.
HOSE END APPLICATOR PLANT BOOSTER: For larger areas
thoroughly dissolve 8 tbs. of Plant Booster in hose end
sprayer and apply to 1000 square feet. Apply to soil and
foliage.
