POND CLARIFIER TABLETS
Organica's patented Pond Clarifier contain a unique microbial system specifically formulated to remove excess organic nutrients such as phosphorous and nitrates from the entire water column. When aqueous environments are overloaded with organic nutrients they tend to become overrun with undesirable growth and the entire aquatic ecosystem becomes unbalanced.
Pond Clarifier contains 58 strains of select aerobic and facultative bacteria capable of rapidly biodegrading cellulose, lignin, hydrocarbons and other organic contaminants in aqueous environments. A number of these proprietary strains also utilize the excess phosphorous and nitrates to satiate their metabolic functions. When the excess organic load is removed it results in the elimination of organic sediment, suspended particulate matter and foul odors thereby providing for naturally cleaner, clearer water.
Organica's Pond Clarifier work best when water temperatures are between 50-100 degrees F. In order for the microbial system to establish itself and provide maximum efficacy the water must contain a minimum of 5 - 6 % dissolved oxygen. Organica strongly recommends bottom aeration utilizing a diffused air system to maintain dissolved oxygen levels. In the event mechanical aeration is not feasible Organica has developed a unique Biochemical Oxygen Release System, which provides a continuous source of slow release oxygen to expedite and maintain microbial establishment.
Typically you will see an improvement in water clarity within 2 weeks of implementing the program again provided adequate dissolved oxygen levels are maintained.
SHOCK DOSE:
Apply 2 ¼ pounds (15 tablets) per acre-foot of water. (325,000 gal.) Start application once water temperature reaches 45 - 50 degrees F.
MAINTENANCE DOSE:
1 pound (7 tablets) per acre-foot every 3-4 weeks
If pond / lake is extremely dirty at onset of initial application repeat shock dose again 3 weeks later and then revert to maintenance dose. Provide adequate mechanical aeration to support microbial populations. Evenly distribute product around pond or lake, avoid dumping product in one concentrated location.
